Letter to Keane

Dear Interscope records,

       We are writing to you for confirmation on whether or not it would be possible for us to use your song 'bedshaped'  in our work as we understand there may be issues with copyright if we use it without your consent. As A level students, we are producing a music video for our coursework on pop promos. Our names are Kelly Simpson and Francesca Carter, we both find that this song cannotes a particular mood which we wanted to portray through our own production of a pop video.

We would like to make it clear that this is just to be posted onto youtube and not for financial gain and that our video will only be used for educational purposes. We have chosen this song in particular as we feel it reflects are sinister personalities and will enable us to achieve our desired grades as Media students.

Our piece will not be an exact replica of your video and will not include the whole song, we will use our own inspiration and will change the image of the band so that it is not in any way a mock or parody of your original video, but instead just used to construct emotion and fit with our chosen genre for our media project.

We hope we have explained the situation in enough detail to ensure you that there are no intentions of copyright within the use of this song and we look forward to hearing back from you. If you have any other enquires feel free to question us on our pop promo and any advise would be much appreciated.
